2009 Mercedes-Benz A-Class Facelift

After yesterday’s internet leak, Mercedes-Benz went ahead and released all the official data on its subtlety revised 2009 A-Class hatch prior to the car’s public debut which is set for the April 5 at the Leipzig Auto Show in Germany. In a nutshell, the A-Class has received minor aesthetic changes in the front and rear end while inside, it features larger stowage compartments and new fabrics.
While the A-Class maintains the same engine range as before, thanks to further detailed enhancements, fuel consumption of diesel units has been reduced by over 8 percent or 0.5 litres per 100 kilometres compared with the outgoing models. Additionally, the ECO start/stop function is available for the first time for the high-volume A 150 and A 170 models, which further reduces fuel consumption.

Supped Up Alfa Romeo 8c Competizione 590Hp on Sale for $600k!

If there’s one car out there that we’d do anything to acquire, Alfa Romeo’s 8c Competizione would easily top our list. Unfortunately, only 500 examples where built and, to our knowledge, they have all been spoken for. However, one of those 500 buyers decided to give this prized Italian beauty away on the Italian auction site, “AutoScout24”.
And to make things more interesting, the seller quotes that the specific example has received a power boost (he doesn’t give any details though), with the Ferrari derived V8 delivering a whopping 590 Hp, 140 Hp more than the stock version. Still, that doesn’t seem to justify the €380,000 or $600,000 USD (about double the retail price) that the seller is asking for.

Geely HL MPV: Compact Minivan Set For Beijing Debut

Not to be confused with Geely’s mid-size GE MPV that we first showed you yesterday, the HL MPV is a compact minivan that will also make its debut at the 2008 Beijing Auto Show in mid April. The images reveal that the HL MPV’s front design was partially inspired from Acura models – we warned you that we’re going to see a lot of design-cloning at the Beijing Show… Until we manage to find more info on the HL MPV, follow the jump to see a few more pics of the Chinese minivan.
